The Janome 634D MyLock Overlock Serger Sewing Machine with electronic control is the most advanced MyLock serger. It has 2 needles and 2, 3 or 4 thread overlock stitching. The differential feed ratio, which is adjustable from .05 to 2.25, provides increased control for handling all types of fabrics and for creating desired special effects. Threading is a breeze due to color-coded thread guides and a self-threading lower looper. Simply lay the thread into the guide, flip a switch, and the lower looper is threaded. The guide is automatically returned to its normal position when you turn the balance wheel. And when you lift the presser foot for rethreading, the thread tensions are automatically released so you can draw the thread smoothly. The MyLock 634D also lets you quickly switch to rolled hemming without changing the needle plate. A lower looper pre-tension stitch eliminates the need to change tension for rolled hems. Serger in good condition. Works great. Great price. Thank you. I have a very successful in home sewing busines. I was apprehensive about the purchase, but I'd read Janome 634D MyLock Overlock Serger Sewing Machine makes good machines. I am happy that it works so well, although it is not as "user friendly" as my Pfaff Hobbylock.

"Little Gracie II Frame with Janome 1600P-DBX" 2009-03-20

The Little Gracie II Machine Quilting Frame is a marvelous, sturdy, easy to construct frame for home machine quilting. It takes time and patience but all parts are clearly labeled and it comes with both a guidebook and a DVD. Watch the DVD first to get a great overview. Now, The Janome part is another story: It is advertised in this package as the machine to use for quilting on this frame, which needs major clarification. It does not have a feed dog lowering feature so extra parts are needed which should come with the machine in order to make it work. There was only a straight foot and a hemmer in the Janome package (figure those for free form machine quilting??). The Janome site is not clear in reference to support; in fact when contacting them they told me to go to a local dealer. There are no other guidelines for use other than the basic plug it in, thread it booklet, no accessories information, etc. I would buy the Little Gracie II by itself and find myself another long-arm quilting machine if I had it to do over for purchase. However, the support from Amazon has been great in helping me obtain the foot needed to make this system work as it should have as advertised.

I like this bag. I don't LOVE this bag but I like it very much. I have a Janome Magnolia 7330. It fits into this bag very easily. The pockets are roomy to handly my book, peddle, and power cord. I do with though that I had a bit more room for a few accessories like a bobbin box or a few spools of thread... maybe a pair of sheers. Not a lot of things, but a couple of basics you might take to a class or a friend's house.

Overall, I feel like this bag is stable for carrying my machine and feels sturdy. I wish my machine had come with a hard case, but this is a nice alternative.

Janome builds their #11574 for Sears Roebuck as the Kenmore #18221, which is what I bought. Sears sells a white plastic one-size-fits-all case which is too large and allows the machine to slide around. This smaller case fits very well and has a side pocket for the foot control and misc. stuff. I would have given 5 stars but the "hard" bottom was broken in half, right out of the box. This doesn't seem to affect anything and the case works perfectly.

I've had this machine for a couple of months now, and it's great. I've always enjoyed sewing, but whenever my cheap machines would jam. the bobbin thread would run out, or one of any number of other bothersome things happened, I would quit. The Janome Heart Truth 2008 50-Stitch Sewing Machine automatically takes care of a lot of those things and makes the others simple and quick to take care of. The feet are easy to change, the bobbin is easy to fill from a separate spool, it feeds evenly, the tension takes care of itself... It's also sturdy and attractive. I'm very glad I spent the extra money to get this machine instead of a cheaper one. It does just what I need.

I am very disappointed with the performance of this machine. It sewed through two layers of lightweight fabric easily, but would not sew through the hem of some blue jeans that I was trying to hem. It also has other negatives. The bobbin must be filled outside of the machine. This means that it must be taken out of the bobbin case(which is a royal pain!) each time the bobbin is empty and filled on the bobbin filler which is located on the top of the machine. I am sending it back.

Delivery of this item was like overnight!!!! Impressive service from Mr. Vac & Mrs. Sew-Thank You. I was able to thread and work a couple practice stitches with ease. Well, the third time truly is the charm! This is the third sewing machine I've purchased since my Singer purchased back in the early seventies died on me in about the same number of years (three). The first replacement was another Singer and the second was a Brother, both proving to be huge disappointments with limited capabilities (even with all the fancy embroidery stitches), particularly when sewing thick or heavy duty fabrics, such as upholstery fabrics, but not so with my new Janome Threadbanger. If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive utility machine, i.e. ordinary, everyday seam repairs, hemming of jeans with the bulky welt seams or something that will handle heavy upholstery fabrics, this one should suffice very well.

Janome 2018FS FULL SIZE Freearm Sewing Machine just didn't have the features or accesories this machine came with. Sews very effortlessly. No Jamming of bobbins which as you know is one main concern. lightweight but it's got the power !

I applied only one star to this Janome sewing machine at this time because my gifted wife has not had the opportunity to put it through it's paces. I do regret that I did not read the numerous reviews on this item before purchasing it, or I may have passed on buying this model. I hope her and I are not dissapointed and she is able to enjoy it effortlessly for years to come. READ REVIEWS BEFORE PURCHASING so as to be able to make a more informed decision. I will say on the "JANOME" companies behalf that when they no longer had the model I purchased, the "Janome Memory Craft 4400 Computerized Sewing Machine", they shipped out immediately a much newer model the "4900". I have not sewn in 40 years and decided to jump in with both feet. I bought this machine and it is so easy to sew with. If you have any questions the book that comes with it covers everything you could possible need to know..esp at 2:00 in the morning..

I have made numerous rag quilts and have had no problems with the 6 layers of flannel. Only thing to remember is to clean the machine when finished with the quilt.

I purchased this machine 6 weeks ago. I researched for months, read loads of info about so many machines, of all types and prices. I learned of the brand Janome through a friend who uses a Bernina. She had sewed on one and really liked it. After reading more info on the Janome website, it seemed that for a very reasonable price this machine might be just fine. For a basic model it is loaded with featutes. I have a lot of experience sewing, and know that most of the time I just need a good solid machine, not full of bells and whistles that will rarely be used. Most other sources have this machine priced much higher. Out of the box the start up is quick and simple, manual very easy, very clear. I was sewing in about 20 minutes after getting it out of the box. It is quiet and powerful. Very beautiful stitches. Easy operation. I am impressed. My main reason for this purchase was to get my daughter a good machine. After buying this one I really like this Janome Sew Precise 37 Stitch ComputerLCD Sewing Machine, and would buy again. Maybe Amazon will start to carry more models of Janome. I will check back in after I have done more projects on this, and let people know how it goes. I definately am content thus far. The only reason for four stars is that I have not used the buttonholer yet, or put in a zipper.

I bought this machine after doing a lot of research and I'm so happy I did! I sewed in high school but now 10 years later, I wanted to get into quilting. At first I set my budget at $200 but quickly realized that machines in that price range were not dependable. I didn't want a machine that would be more trouble than it was worth.

The features I wanted were needle down, adjustable speed, and start/stop button. This machine has all 3. If I had a bigger budget, I would love a knee-lift, adjustable foot pressure, and thread cutter, but that will have to be for my "some day" machine.

If your budget is $300-400, this is the machine for you!

I received this for Christmas and I love it. I would say my sewing skill is about intermediate. I wanted a machine that would be good for where I am currently, grow with me some, but also be affordable. After much research, this was the one I wanted. My mom surprised me with it.

This was an upgrade from an old Singer Touch and Sew 600e. This machine won't ever be as sturdy as that baby, but it's a really nice replacement... and at any rate, I don't think any machine you'd buy these days would be that sturdy. However, this machine is AWESOME.

The bobbin was easy to wind. It is easy to thread. It has memory of your needle position. This thing doesn't take fiddling and is extremely easy to work with. I like to make things like clothing, purses, little things like bags and eye pillows. I do a lot with my sewing machine and ask a lot. This machine really pulls through and does what I want without complaint or worry.

I love all the marks on both sides of the food and needle to guide your fabric. It makes it SO easy. The fabric feeds very easily.

One thing I found weird to get used to is that when you first press the peddle, the first few stitches go quite slow and then it will go up to speed. It's weird, but as I continue with it, I find it is also quite useful.

I love this machine. I cannot stress enough how much I love it. It's fairly quiet. It's easy to set up. It's easy to use with a distinct lack of needing to fiddle with it. It's easy to select stitches and size of stitches.

I really love this machine. I can't say that enough.

I purchased the Janome 7330 Magnolia sewing machine a couple months ago based on customers' reviews...in particular, the first review here caught my attention...I'm an experienced sewer, and this is my third machine...I'm very happy with it...it's very easy to thread...after reading the instructions about the various settings/buttons, I found it easy to operate. The stitches are nice; I didn't have to adjust the tension or anything. It comes with basic attachments/accessories, and there are quite a few additional accessories that can be purchased separately like a ruffler, darning foot, etc.

I waited until I'd test driven this machine a bit before reviewing. The consensus: This is a wonderful home workhorse.

The Janome Magnolia 7330 Computerized sewing machine is the first sewing machine I've ever bought, but I've used the Whites, Singers, Janomes and Berninas of my mom and friends before. When I went looking for a machine of my own I wanted something simple, powerful, non-finicky (nothing seems to elevates blood pressure like weird thread tension), and good enough to get me through most craft or clothing projects. Well, and not crazy expensive.

This machine really lives up to my expectations and hopes. It punched through 6+ layers of denim easily, the feed dog system is wonderfully smooth, and it goes from sewing light muslin to heavy twill without any problem or fiddling at all. You can see how much thread is in the bobbin in between stitching, so I don't expect to lift off the fabric and find I've run out of thread any time soon, like has happened to me a couple of times on other machines. As far as I am aware, the 7330 also has all the stitches and functions that are needed for most any form of garment or craft construction, but the overload of embroidery stitches and resulting bump in the price tag are mercifully absent.

Basically, it seems to be a machine that's designed to let you concentrate on the next step of your project, rather than having to troubleshoot the machine itself constantly. I'm happy :)

I am a first time sewer and I wanted a solid machine below $400. I wanted something I could grow into, but something that wouldn't overwhelm me. I had gone online to research machines. I was actually considering the Brother CS6000I before I had even heard of the Janome 7330. At the time there were 97 reviews on Amazon for the Brother CS6000I and I read every one. I was concerned b/c the low rated Brother reviews and even many of the 4 and 5 star reviews complained about the machine's tension and a finicky bobbin. The last thing I wanted to deal with was a touchy machine. If you read the reviews, without looking at the stars, most of them talk about the machine's quirks. I started to wonder if the Brother was trying to be too far reaching for it's price point. I was also wondering why so many were willing to overlook this touchiness that they all mentioned.

I went to SewVacDirect.com and did an online "ask a consultant" thing. I asked the person about the Brother CS6000I and the person directed me to the Janome. I had never heard of Janome before, but the consultant said that the Janome was far more sturdy than the Brother and that it was very easy to use. Still unsure, I decided to go to a store to see the machines in person.

After seeing the Janome and the Brother in action, I came home with the Janome 7330. After seeing the two machines work, I did feel that the Janome was better made and more sturdy. I felt more confident in the Janome's ability to grow with me through the years and felt it was more of the work horse that I was looking for. Twenty minutes after opening the box I was sewing. I'd never touched a machine before and I was sewing! It was as easy to use as they had told me. No weird finicky tricks to learn; just a solid machine.

The 7330 is computerized. It has a good number of stitches, including 5 different overcast stitches, three different one-step button holes, a darning stitch, and good number of decorative stitches. It has a free arm that has been great for doing the small arm and leg holes on the children's clothing I've been making. It has a foot pedal, although you can also use it sans the pedal. It has an up/down button that "remembers" if you last made the needle stay down when you stopped stitching. It also has a reverse button and an automatic needle threader. It's very easy to wind the bobbin and you just pop open the little lid and drop it in the hole. Super easy!

The instruction manual is very easy to follow and it comes with an all purpose presser foot, a satin foot (great for sewing on buttons!), a button foot, and a zipper foot. It also comes with a seam ripper, some bobbins, a brush for cleaning, a screw driver, and some plastic rings that hold the spool of thread in place.

When I told my friends that I had purchased a Janome, all of them said it was a very good brand. I found out that is a Japanese company and Janome means "eye of the snake" as it was one of the pioneers of using a round bobbin instead of a long shuttle back in the 1920's. Janome was the first to make a computerized sewing machine in the 1970's. I'm including this information b/c if you've never heard of this brand before, it's not a fly by night. It's been around for awhile and it has a very good reputation with those who know it. I also found that Janome sponsors a DIY website, threadbanger.com, which has some really neat ways to be green by reusing, recycling, and reconstructing things.

In conclusion, go to a retailer and see for yourself. It's a solid machine!!
